Solar Powered Warehouse Opened

02 / 12 / 24

The CompoTech infrastructure has recently welcomed a new extension, providing additional space to enhance the stores and export department. The roof provides the platform for a new solar array.

The building features a single-storey steel skeleton, a flat insulated gable roof, and an uninsulated external extension. The usable area of the enclosed new extension is 339 m² with an external covered area of 230 m². The free space in the atrium of this new building will serve as a handling space. This will aid in the logistics and warehousing for the increasing volume and size of carbon composite tubes, beams, and assemblies produced at the site. The extension of the warehouse hall is seamlessly connected to the western façade of the existing architecturally acclaimed main factory building through a connecting neck, ensuring a cohesive flow between the two areas.

Roof top Solar power

Notably, this new facility’s roof is outfitted with solar panels, promoting sustainability. The EU co-founded the photovoltaic power plant, which has an installed capacity of 91,125kW on the roof of the new building. CompoTech will consume the power generated to help with the high energy intensity of its business activities and the associated high operating costs for electricity consumption.
