In March 2013 CompoTech and North Marine Group renewed a license agreement for the automated filament laying technology.   The new agreement expanded the field of use for licencee made products.  Over the last three years the CompoTech licensed production in Sri Lanka has increased productivity and output.   The AFL technology produces mainly marine products, such as: furling boom mandrels, big range of furling headfoils, J/70 rigs, GC32 structural parts, Olympic FX masts and many others.  CompoTech’s Vitek Sprdlik and Karel Blahous have paid many visits to the facility to set up the production and train its users.  They remark on the level of competence the Sri Lankans have with the equipment.
